It's almost Christmas!

Just three days until California! I am so excited. Matt has survived his first semester of med school and is fast asleep in bed. Poor baby.
It has been a pretty crazy week. Work has been more hectic as the year end approaches, so time has been flying during the day. I have been desparately trying to get my xmas shopping done so I can have it shipped straight to CA in time...I just have a couple of things left. I can't wait until all of that is finished.
We had a prenatal appointment last week. We weren't able to find out the sex yet, but we have an appointment for that on the fourth of January. Everything is going fine. Matt got to hear the heartbeat for the first time. Pretty cool. The baby's heart has grown enough that his/her heart rate went from 160 to 140 in five weeks.
Brad and Heather (friends from Oklahoma) stayed with us the last two nights. We had a great time seeing some of the sights and doing some shopping. We went to Serendipity last night. It was delish. I had a huge ice cream sundae that I wish I could have again right now! Yum.
Wahoo is taking a nap on my lap and keeps hitting the keys, so blame him if there are typos.
Well, I guess I had better get back to packing/shopping online. Love you all. I can't wait to see you all soon!

We finally all get to be together. :)

Wahoo had a great time with the Eddie Bauer and Staples catalogs.

We got Wahoo a new bed. He likes it, but not as much as he likes our bed. A girl at work gave me this little sweater for him. He is so cute! He kinda looks like a little old man when he wears it.

Catch up

Okay, so I haven't posted in a while because Wahoo chewed through the cord to my laptop. I should be getting the replacement in the mail, but for now I am borrowing Matt's for a couple of minutes to get some of these belly pictures posted. Keep in mind that these make me look a little bigger than I do in real life...either that or the mirror at work makes me look smaller than I really am. Also, keep in mind that I know I look dorky in most of them, but that is just too bad. We also have a bunch of pictures from Thanksgiving, but I will post those later.
I have been feeling the baby move a lot over the last week. It is really cool. I am hoping the movements get big enough soon that Matt can feel them, too.
I just got back from Miami...it was a pretty good meeting, so it went fast. I got to meet some people that I have been working with for a long time, so that was good. I am glad to be home...huh, I just realized that I finally feel like this is home. That is a milestone I thought I wouldn't reach for a while.
Today at lunch I lost my wallet. That sucked, especially since it was the wallet Matt bought me at Harrod's in London when he was there for school. :( So sad...but totally a Brenda thing to do. My hands were so cold I just shoved the wallet in my pocket (which really is big enough) for the block between Subway and my office, but when I went to swipe the turnstile, there was nothing there. I don't think it was a pick-pocket because I wasn't very close to anyone (there aren't too many crowds in the financial district when it is 30 degrees outside). I imagine someone just picked it up right away. Oh, well.
Things are going well at work, but I won't bore you all with that. HR sent out a reminder to fill out new W4s if our withholding changed, and I was excited to think that next year we will have a little dependent. I guess it takes an accountant to be excited about that. Although I didn't take my old tax professor's advice and have the baby on December 31 (you still get to count the entire year).
We will be on the plane to California in two weeks! Woohoo!

Well, here are the tummy pictures...
