the female perspective

Most people want to know what I think about being dragged across this country...so I will tell you. I am very excited! I will not be bored! It will be so nice to have things to do and see. I am totally nervous about getting everything done, but I think the hardest part is over (the waiting). We finally know where we are going to live! We get to live in the same place for 4-5 years! I am sad to be leaving friends and family, but I imagine we will be home a bunch.
Matt, sorry you are going to have to work so hard while I live it up in the city.

Big Apple, Here We Come!

Okay, so the two of you who are looking at this blog already know, but I gotta announce it anyway... Yesterday afternoon I learned that I have been accepted to Columbia's medical school! Actually, the uber-long official name is the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University in the City of New York . No wonder they call it P&S. I'm very happy with the way things have fallen into place. Now we move on for our next big adventure. I'm really sad to be leaving California behind. San Diego has been a good home, and I have met friends here I plan to remain close to for the rest of my life. Hopefully we'll have some meetups in our new digs in Manhattan. Oh man, how are we gonna pay for this?...

Hello World!

Ah, my Intro to Computer Programming class geekiness still surfaces here and there. And thus, I begin a blog for Bren and me. Okay, maybe I should say it's about Bren and me; it's for YOU. (Hello? Anyone there? Beuller?)
